Marie Istil, Claire Floret, and Marion Betizeau are riding the Tour de France route, start to finish, one day ahead of the men's race.  In the TDF stage start town of Livarot, they took little Kilian, battling leukemia, for a ride.  The women are joined on select stages by others who support women's cycling and want to come along for the ride.  The French Cycling Federation and key leaders promoting women's sport at the government level have added critical support for this initiative.

- Broadcast has ended. LIVE video here. (live video feed from the Champs-Elysees)

- You can track the women's progress along the route via the embedded GPS tracker above.

- Hoping for a live stream as the group rides on the Champs-Elysees, up to the Arc de Triomphe!

- Final stage, Sevres to Paris, will actually get underway in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, at the new national velodrome.  This stage will see another re-inforced peloton with many supporters wanting to join the ride and the French Cycling Federation again backing the initiative.

- Livestream has ended; starting to rain on Alpe d'Huez, time for the team to pack up.  Paris on Saturday!  LIVE video here.  (requires Livestream account to view unobstructed)

- Note that on-bike live tracking depends on a cell phone signal, not always available in the mountains and in rural areas.  (We of course do not have the motos, helicopters and plane relays the Tour has.)

- Donnons des ELLE au Tour on Twitter hereStephanie Cornu is a great person to follow on Twitter here.  Stephanie is responsible for developing women's sport nationally in France and has ridden with the group during this Tour.  Thanks Stephanie!  CF on Twitter here.

- We are planning to organize on-bike live video streaming during portions of a couple of stages during the final week.  (We of course will not have moto/helicopter/plane relays for a signal; availability will depend entirely on 4G mobile cell phone/internet coverage)  Stay tuned...
