The man for whom the race is named, Giuseppe "Pino" Cerami, a former Belgian road racer.
Cerami, born in Italy and who will be 90 later this month, won a stage of the
Tour de France in 1963, the 1957 Tour of Belgium, 1960 Paris-Roubaix
and La Fleche Wallonne, and 1961 Paris-Brussels
