Things have become more complicated for Rodriguez who had hoped to drop Hesjedal on Pampeago.  Instead he has lost time to the Canadian. He charges to the finish line knowing that every second will count, especially with Sunday's time trial looming large.  Rodriguez finishes third on Pampeago, followed by Scarponi.  Saturday's stage to the Stelvio will be Rodriguez's last chance to put time into Hesjedal.
