- Chris Froome - HD Action Profile
- See also: Nairo Quintana. See also: Alberto Contador. See also: Cadel Evans. Chris Froome (Sky Procycling) didn't win the Criterium du Dauphiné time trial last month, Tony Martin did, but he sent a message to G.C. contenders for the Tour. In finishing third (my photo below) (Rohan Dennis was second), Froome put more than 2.5 minutes into Alejandro Valverde and almost 3 minutes into Alberto Contador. At 33km, the 2013 Tour's Stage 11 TT to Mont-Saint-Michel is almost the exact same distance as the Dauphiné TT and is also one for the TT specialists. The Mont-Saint-Michel TT is thus an opportunity for Froome to put more time into his rivals for the overall before the final week in the Alps. His rivals will look to limit their losses. Below is the third in a series of "HD Action Profiles" (click Froome image for High Definition version) from the 2013 season. (I've included location and altitude information as recorded by my camera and information about the team bikes.) I plan to feature at least one rider from each ProTeam as well as riders from many of the smaller teams. -Pete
