Today's Criterium du Dauphine Stage 7 finishes on the circuit in gorgeous Sallanches, site of the 1980 World Championships, won by Bernard Hinault.  With the Mont Blanc mountain range as a backdrop, the circuit was also featured during the 2005 Dauphine Libere (photo above).

The Tour de France often passes through Sallanches, as it will next month.  Like other towns on the Tour route, Sallanches is ready to welcome tourists in June during the Dauphine Libere.
